AITP-RTP Meeting – Wake Early College of Information and Biotechnologies High School

Summary:

WECIB is a new, innovative high school and will play a role in supporting the field of Information Technology with corporate partnerships, internships, job shadowing, and more.

Our Speaker:


Abby Stotsenberg

Abby Stotsenberg is the founding principal of Wake Early College of Information and Biotechnologies.  She’s spent the last 25 years working in public schools. She started her career in Cumberland and Hoke Counties, serving as a middle school teacher.  She moved to Raleigh to be a high school social studies teacher; she earned National Board Certification and later, a graduate degree in school leadership from NCSU.  Since then, she has been the Assistant Principal at Leesville Middle School, a district curriculum and instructional specialist, and the principal of Vernon Malone College and Career Academy.  Abby is currently a doctoral student at NCSU and hopes to complete her dissertation in 2023.

5:30 – 6:15pm: Check-in & Networking

6:15 – 7:00pm: Dinner & Networking

7:00 – 7:10pm: Opening Remarks

7:10 – 8:00pm: Program

8:00 – 8:30pm: Close and Additional Networking


Photography and Video Policy:

Attendees are permitted to take pictures of individuals or smaller groups as long as permission is given from the subject(s) of the photo. AITP-RTP board members may take pictures or a video recording of presenters and attendees for various purposes.  However, the use of any kind of video recording or video streaming device from attendees is not permitted.  Registration to the meeting implies acceptance of this policy.
